Your mix comes out ready for the way it will actually be played: streaming, clubs, cars, radio, or personal listening. The performance stays yours. We make the recording cleaner, louder, and more controlled.

Traditional mastering is usually built around individual tracks. Bump Lab is built for long-format DJ mixes, where the individual songs are already mastered. We focus on the recording and delivery layer: level consistency, clipping, artifacts, noise, and playback optimization across the full set.

Manual DJ mix post-production can mean DAW setup, plugin chains, level checks, cleanup passes, exports, and then a separate round of tagging — adding ID3 metadata, cover art, and embedding your DJ tags & drops in a different tool entirely. Bump Lab removes that bulk technical pass from your plate and consolidates it: upload your mix, choose your preset, add your DJ tags & drops, cover art, and metadata in the same step, preview the result, and download. It fits into your existing workflow rather than replacing it — if you want to add effects, EQ, or further creative processing, that's still yours. We handle the recording-chain cleanup and get the file delivery-ready, all in one place.

The tracks inside your mix are already mastered. Bump Lab does not try to remaster each song. We correct the recorded mix as a whole — clipping, noise, level jumps, artifacts, and playback loudness and more — while avoiding the over-compressed sound that can make DJ mixes feel flat.

Yes. We don't share or distribute your mix. Files are encrypted at rest and in transit, and only you can access your files. Your mix is automatically deleted after 7 days.

We accept WAV, AIFF, MP3, FLAC, M4A, and AAC files. Output formats depend on your plan: Basic includes MP3 320kbps, Standard includes FLAC + MP3 (lossless + MP3), and Pro includes WAV + FLAC + MP3.

Yes. Bump Lab optimizes what's in your file, but it can't recover audio information that was lost during recording or compression. If you upload a low-bitrate MP3 (like 128kbps), the output will be limited by that compressed input — even if you select WAV output. For best results, upload the highest-quality file you have: WAV, AIFF, or FLAC (lossless). If you only have MP3, 320kbps is ideal. Lower-bitrate files (128-192kbps) will still process and improve, but expect more processing artifacts and less headroom for optimization. Bump Lab supports all common formats, but lossless input gives you the cleanest, most professional output.

Currently up to 6GB and 3 hours. Large files upload reliably using our multipart system, and if your connection drops, your upload automatically resumes from where it left off.

If you recorded it, we can process it — mix, DJ set, or live recording. DJ controllers, CDJs, turntables, mixers, software — it doesn't matter how it was captured. Bump Lab works on the audio file itself, cleaning up recording-chain issues like clipping, artifacts, and level inconsistencies regardless of your setup.

We offer four presets: Streaming (targets -14 LUFS) for YouTube, SoundCloud, Mixcloud, Beatport; Loud (targets -9 LUFS) for club systems; Personal (targets -11 LUFS) for car stereo, headphones, Bluetooth speakers; and Custom for broadcast, podcasts, etc. All presets use -1.0 dBTP true-peak limiting (peak ceiling). Very dynamic or peaky material may measure slightly below the target—that's normal and how streaming platforms measure loudness.

Yes. Choose the plan that supports the number of presets you want — Streaming, Personal, Loud, and/or Custom — and all selected presets will be processed and delivered for you to download.

A 1-hour mix with MP3-only output processes in as little as 20-30 minutes.

Processing time varies based on:
• Mix length (longer files take proportionally longer)
• Selected preset and output formats
• DJ tags and drops (adds 5-10 minutes)
• Your upload/download connection speed

Bump Lab analyzes the full mix, then applies a multi-pass processing chain tailored to your selected preset. The goal is a cleaner, more consistent recording that keeps the energy and flow of the original performance intact.

Bump Lab fixes recording-chain audio issues — clipping, distortion, low-end buildup, frequency imbalance, and artifacts from hardware or USB capture — and then prepares your mix for how it will actually be played: streaming platforms, club systems, cars, or personal listening. Beyond the audio, it handles the post-production workflow that most DJs either skip, spend hours on, or pay someone else to do: loudness normalization, true-peak limiting, file formatting, DJ tags, cover art, and metadata — all in a single upload.

Before you pay, Bump Lab generates a free 60-second preview so you can hear how your mix will sound after processing. The preview runs the same cleanup and optimization as the full job — on a representative segment of your mix. If you're happy with what you hear, you can purchase the full processed download. If not, there's nothing to pay.

No. Bump Lab is designed for transparent processing. We preserve the dynamics and movement of the mix instead of flattening it with heavy compression or artificial loudness.

Each preset targets a playback context, such as streaming, club systems, personal listening, or broadcast. Bump Lab levels (normalizes) the mix toward that target while controlling peaks with true-peak limiting and avoiding new clipping. Very dynamic or peaky material may measure slightly below the target; that is normal and often the right tradeoff for preserving the mix.

Yes - Bump Lab handles the technical mastering foundation - the time-consuming work every mix needs. Your processed file is clean, optimized, and ready to use. If you want to add creative processing like EQ, filters, or effects, just load it into your favorite DAW.

DJ Tags and drops are the same thing — your personal audio stamp (shoutout, radio ID, or station ID) that tells the world who made the mix. Upload your tag or drop audio, choose your placement options, and Bump Lab handles the rest: automatically placed at the intro, recurring throughout, and at the outro. Your tag is blended into the music bed — not just layered on top. For Intro and Outro you choose a Fade Type (Gradual or Quick) so the handoff between music and tag matches how you want the open and close to feel. Mid-mix (recurring) placements use a brief, transparent duck so the tag is heard clearly without jarring the listener. DJ Tags are included free with the Pro plan and available as an add-on for Basic and Standard. If you finished a mix without tags, you can still add them during your 7-day storage window.

Fade Type controls how the music bed fades under your DJ tag on the intro and outro — the same kind of automation you’d set in a DAW. Gradual Fade-In / Fade-Out (default): Music fades in (intro) or out (outro) gradually from start of tag to end of tag. Quick Fade-In / Fade-Out: Music fades in quickly near the end of the tag (intro), or fades out quickly near the start of the tag (outro). Recurring mid-mix tags use a fixed brief duck / ducking (not Gradual/Quick): music dips under the tag, then fades back in. Fade Type choices apply to Intro and Outro only — you can set those independently, including when you use one file for all positions.

File & Cover Art Tags let you embed clean ID3 metadata (MP3 tags) into your processed mix — title, artist name, and cover art (also called album art or artwork) — so the file is organized and ready to share the moment you download it. ID3 tags are the industry standard for audio file metadata and are read by every major player, streaming platform, and file manager. Instead of doing a separate tagging pass after processing, you can keep release prep in the same workflow and cut out extra tools, exports, and handoffs. Forgot them on the original order? You can add them during your 7-day storage window for free.

Yes — during the 7-day storage window after processing completes. From your mix download page (or Your Mixes), open Update your files. File Tags and Cover Art are a one-time bundled Files update (free). If your original order didn’t include DJ Tags & Drops, you can add them once with the DJ Tag Add-On (included on Pro; paid once on Basic/Standard). You’ll get a short preview of how the tag sits on your delivery before you confirm. Updated downloads replace the previous files in place — same Mix ID. The 7-day storage clock does not reset when you update. Once DJ tags or File Tags/Cover Art have been applied to your mix, they cannot be changed or updated again.

Batch Processing is bulk / multi-file upload — submit up to 4 audio files in a single order (one payment, one delivery). All mixes in the batch share the same plan and presets, but you can add unique cover art, titles, and artist metadata to each file individually.

You can submit up to 4 files per batch. There is no limit on the number of batches you can submit — each batch is a separate order.

No — all files in a batch share the same plan (Basic, Standard, or Pro) and the same preset selection. If you need different settings for different mixes, submit them as separate individual mix orders.

In a batch you can apply a shared DJ tag & drop to every mix — the same tag, positions, Fade Type (Gradual or Quick for Intro/Outro), and interval settings apply to all files. If you need a unique tag or fade type per file, you can set that individually per file in the batch. DJ tag pricing applies per mix processed.

Processing continues for the rest of the batch. Completed files are available to download immediately. A failed file is clearly marked on your batch status page with an error message. You can retry the failed file at no extra cost — the hours for that file were already counted when you submitted.

A batch processes each file in sequence, so total time is longer than a single mix. The more files in your batch, the longer the overall run — but you submit once and walk away while everything processes and we'll email you once batch processing is complete.

All sales are final once payment is confirmed — this applies to all files in your batch, including any still queued. We offer a free preview before every purchase so you can evaluate results before committing.

As each mix in your batch completes, a download button appears for it on your batch status page. Files are available individually — download each one as it's ready, or return later once the full batch has finished.

Yes — we send one email when the entire batch completes, summarising how many mixes are ready and linking you to your download page. You won't receive separate emails for each file.

Yes — during your 7-day storage window. From the batch page, choose Update all eligible mixes to apply shared File Tags / Cover Art and/or DJ Tags to every mix that still has that update available. You can also open a single mix and update your files on that mix only. Each mix gets one Files update (tags and/or cover) and one DJ Tag Add-On (if the original order had no DJ tags). Those limits are per mix, not per batch.

Batch All only updates mixes that are still eligible. A mix you already updated solo is skipped for that update type — for example, if you already added File Tags on one mix, Batch All will not replace those tags. That mix can still receive DJ Tags if it hasn't used its DJ add-on yet. The Update page lists each mix as Included or Skipped so you can see exactly what will change before you confirm.

Pricing is determined by the length of your mix and the plan you choose — Basic, Standard, or Pro. Each plan includes different output formats (MP3, FLAC, WAV). If processing fails due to a technical issue on our end (excluding security incidents, third-party service outages, or circumstances beyond our control), we\\'ll attempt to reprocess your file at no charge.
